Visit cat.com to learn more about Cat Financial.JOB SUMMARY: Provide Cat Card business operations leadership for the assigned region for Cat Card. Provide leadership, direction, and management to the local Cat Card organization. Work closely with manager and the corporate staff to design long-term strategies for the effective support of the local dealer organization and the growth of Caterpillar’s Cat Card business.JOB RELATED STATISTICS: Managed Portfolio: $35 - $100 Million Annual Business Volume: $75 - $250 Million Annual Payroll Budget: $1.5 - $2.0 Million Personnel: 10 – 15 ExemptPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in developing annual business plans and budgets, allocates appropriate resources and leads local staff to ensure the achievement of the Cat Card business plan. Monitors and reports performance against plan.1. Manages a staff responsible for the sales, marketing, and portfolio performance for Cat Card in assigned region.2. Monitors and analyzes the competitive situation and opportunity and works closely with dealers, Area Managers, & business partners to increase market penetration.3. Manages the operation of the Cat Card organization: directs the credit approval, the collection process, and the customer service functions of the local Cat Card organization.4. Ensures the proper functioning of the Cat Card operating system.5. Develops and nurtures positive relationships with dealer personnel and end users.6. Maintains an atmosphere that establishes quality customer service as primary focus.7. Maintains contact and coordination with CISD and district office personnel to maximize program benefits and capabilities and ensure effective use of joint merchandising resources.8. Manages retail and transaction acquisitions to achieve volume and profit objectives, makes dealer and internal presentations, negotiates program pricing and structure and develops special focus programs to meet the needs of Caterpillar and dealer markets9. Assures a reasonable return of profit with control of credit and collection activities.10. Provides leadership in developing and executing marketing plans.11. Creates an environment for employees to develop and optimize their performance potential.12. Travels to dealer branches and customer locations to promote Cat Card products and services.13. Allocates and manages resources in a cost-effective manner, manages budgets, prepares an annual business forecast and expense budget and monitors regional results.14. Determines local Cat Card staffing needs including interview and selection of employees, salary administration, performance reviews and training and development plans.15. Manages legal issues related to Cat Card products.16. Coordinates with IS for computer services to meet local needs.17. Establishes clear, customer focused continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and the development of resolutions to address them.18. Thorough knowledge of and the advanced ability of financial mathematics for modeling, forecasting and to provide direction on lease/finance transactions.8. Advanced knowledge of financial products (banking, leasing and finance) and their policies and procedures.9. Thorough knowledge or and the advanced ability to apply marketing techniques.10. Advanced ability to apply Human Resources procedures.11. Thorough knowledge of and the ability to apply CFSC culture, structure, products, procedures, mission and shared values.12. Thorough knowledge of Dealer organization structure, culture, markets and products.13. Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to utilize and understand languages of countries served.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year college or university degree in any of the business disciplines, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in, and a thorough knowledge of commercial lending, marketing, credit and customer services at the retail and/or wholesale financing levels. Work experience in an international environment would be a benefit. Significant successful managerial experience is recommended.
