Job Description

The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to conceive, design and implement a variety of complex automation projects including the programming of:

  • PLCs,
  • HMI,
  • motion controllers,
  • computer numeric controllers (CNC),
  • robotic systems.
The successful candidate(s) will support CSIC activities in the acquisition of new customers and maintain a positive relationship with existing customers. The candidate must observe all safety rules and guide/train junior systems specialists. Travel within the US may be required.Additional duties as follows:
  • Management of turnkey projects as assigned
  • Responsible for all aspects of an automation controls project from initial planning, design and development, implementation, testing, commissioning to documentation
  • Work effectively with other team members, vendors and subcontractors
  • Work with clients to define and develop project scope of work and maintain ongoing communication
  • Meet project objectives in a timely manner
  • Ability to attend field service and emergency calls
Qualifications:
  • A four year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience with CNC, PLC, Visual Basic, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings are assets
  • Previous experience with Siemens applications is an asset
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Excellent English: Both oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
