Job Description

What we are looking for:Aldershot Greenhouses is seeking a Fulltime-Permanent Logistics Coordinator. You will be an integral part of our company, working hand in hand with sales to provide an efficient and reliable service to our customers. As the logistics coordinator your primary function will be negotiating preferred trucking rates with carriers and ensure successful delivery of our products.What your day would look like:

  • Review current orders in transit and communicate with sales status of load.
  • Review orders that require freight to be booked.
  • Load plan orders based on quantity and route to maximize available space while reducing freight costs.
  • Contact carriers and receive freight quotes, book loads accordingly.
  • Issue freight PO’s and update orders with carrier information.
  • Advise and communicate with sales any transportation delays or issues.
  • Book any appointments required by carriers.

Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • On Call during evenings and weekends
