Job Description

Matrix is excited to be hiring multiple permanent Ready Mix Drivers for long-term work in the Drumheller/Oyen/Brooks areas. These positions will pay $30/HR and feature a $50 LOA and hotel. Candidates should be service-oriented and proud to represent the clients amazing brand to a growing consumer base.Scope of Work:

  • Adhere to all client safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post-trip inspections, having a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.
  • Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography. Own the satisfaction of these customers at all times.
  • Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery. Maintain a delivery service that is a positive, hassle-free experience.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Logistics, and Operations teams as well as fellow operators.
  • Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well as be available on weekends.
  • Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle and be courteous on the road.
  • Able to perform operations on electronic devices (Tablets, GPS, etc.)
  • Be able to lift >50 lbs.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience. Preference is given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience.
  • Experience driving standard.
  • Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, is an asset.
  • Needs to have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q Drivers abstract REQUIRED.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks on Electronic devices such as Tablets.
  • Relationship building (External customers and internal client personnel).
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of teamwork.
