The position develops recreation programs, plans, processes and practices which take into consideration local culture and priorities; and fosters optimum and proactive customer and client service, as well as a broader public relations role, while ensuring that BC’s recreation facilities are managed and maintained in accordance with legislation (e.g., Forest and Range Practices Act and Forest Recreation Regulation) , Ministry and Branch objectives, and best practices.The nature and scope of your work will be augmented through your close working relationships with recreation sector groups and individuals who are involved in such activities as camping, hiking, mountain biking, ATV’ing, cross-country and backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, mountain climbing, and exploring.
