The Ontario Government Pharmaceutical and Medical Supply Service (OGPMSS) is seeking a Driver to provide delivery services of pharmaceuticals, biologicals and medical supplies to hospitals, doctors offices, health units, long-term care facilities, mental health institutions, correctional services locations and other facilities within Metropolitan Toronto.OGPMSSThe OGPMSS is designated as a mandatory central common service that supports the planning and implementation of programs including managing the acquisition and distribution of inventory (i.e. vaccines, drugs, and medical supplies) related to those programs to: achieve economies of scale through a more effective and efficient use of limited resources; support program personnel with activities related to inventory management; support Ontario government ministries, OPS agencies and facilities meet the needs of their individual programs. Broader Public Sector (BPS) organizations may become clients through a Memorandum of Understanding and take advantage of the services provided. OGPMSS offers an integrated logistic service through product standardization, volume purchasing, program support, centralized customer service, centralized ordering, warehousing and distribution and consolidated invoicing.The MinistryMinistry of Health is responsible for administering the health care system and providing services to the Ontario public through such programs as health insurance, drug benefits, assistive devices, care for the mentally ill, long-term care, home care services, community and public health, health promotion and disease prevention.
