Job Description

CNC Optical TechnicianL3HARRIS WESCAM DivisionDon Mills, OntarioEssential ResponsibilitiesThis is for the afternoon shift

  • CNC programming
  • Generate and polish optical components using CNC generators and high speed polishers
  • Grind optical parts
  • Edge optical parts
  • Hand polish optical parts
  • Inspect and measure optical parts to ensure conformity to specified tolerances
Qualifications
  • Technical Diploma in related discipline
  • Optics manufacturing experience an asset
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Working knowledge of CNC (computer generated) optical components
  • Skill and ability with measuring tools
  • Knowledge of Zygo Interferometry
  • Ability to read optical drawings
  • Good written and verbal command of the English language
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills that translate into working in a team based environment
