Job Description

OVERVIEWThe Rising Sun Treatment Centre is growing and expanding and as such, we have created a new position for a Manager, Client Services. We are an accredited 10-bed facility that offers a variety of Indigenous-based addictions recovery programs that help clients create a healthier lifestyle, free of alcohol and/or drugs. Our goal is to assist clients to achieve their personal growth goals. We will do this with innovative and responsive programming that relies on cultural knowledge and Indigenous practices to support healthy, positive change.JOB SUMMARYReporting directly to the Executive Director, the Manager, Client Services will be responsible for program management, program monitoring & evaluation, team building, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide supervision to the team of program staff
  • Oversee program team planning, development, monitoring, evaluation and quality improvement
  • Facilitate team goal setting, problem solving, conflict resolution and collaboration
  • Complete hiring, onboarding, staff training, performance review
  • Provide leadership to staff through collaborative coaching, guiding and modeling key behaviours and strategies, encouraging dialogue and providing guidance
  • Develop and maintain strong connections with the recovery community and Indigenous health networks.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree (or higher) in social work, nursing or other relevant areas of studies (in good standing if a licensed professional)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in mental/addictions health care
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource management and financial management
  • Minimum 3 years working with Indigenous people, families, communities and/or organizations
  • Maintaining an alcohol/drug free lifestyle
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and history in NB and Canada
  • Knowledgeable in Indigenous traditions, protocols and teachings including cultural arts as healing therapy
  • Strong knowledge of colonialism, the residential school system, the 60s scoop and the foster care system and its impacts on Indigenous people, families and communities
  • Knowledge of harm reduction principles, trauma-informed practice, and strength-based philosophy and their application in a recovery program
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate with a wide range of people including program participants, co-workers, representatives from other organizations
  • Strong professional and personal boundaries in working with vulnerable communities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong computer literacy in Microsoft Suite (O365, SharePoint, Outlook, MS Word and Excel) and Zoom
  • Experience delivering online programming is an asset
