Job Description

Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring two experienced Foreman to start immediately. This is a permanent, full-time position based on our client #39;s site (Syncrude), working a 7 on, 7 off schedule, with 11.5 hour days. No Flights, No camp. We provide:

We offer competitive wages and seek candidates that are seeking secure, long-term employment.Job Summary:Reporting to the Supervisor and operating from our client site location, the Foreman is responsible to oversee and ensure that the direction of on-site personnel and equipment is carried out as directed to meet the requirements of our customers.  The individual in this position must be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.This position is based on a schedule of 7 on, 7 off, with both day and night shift. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong field leadership to employees.
  • Coordinating Personnel and equipment.
  • Assist in the leadership of personnel.
  • Promoting a safe work environment through implementation and creation of safe work procedures with HSE team.
  • Assist with the development of personnel scheduling.
  • Direct daily activities of the front-line employees to ensure all BME and client policies and procedures are being adhered to.
  • General and site inspections.
  • Complete Drive along with the employees.
  • Inspection of units daily to ensure they are ready for the following day.
  • Identifying deficiencies and correcting them.
  • Determine disciplinary actions and work with Supervision, Management and HR to follow proper process.
  • Review employees required documentation (JSA, FLRA, Pre/Post Trip, Near Miss, HID, BBO and timecards).
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of all assigned equipment.
  • Meet company set key performance indicator’s (KPI’s)
  • Follow BME procedures, policies, practices, and review with employees during daily toolbox talks or safety meetings.
  • Ensure that all training is kept current for yourself and your team.
  • Prepare, plan and conduct daily toolbox talks with relevant topics.
  • Assess hazards in the field and correct in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the PPE and its usage with employees.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain company vehicle as required – fuel, oil changes etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Possess valid driver’s license (minimum class 3) with clean abstract.
  • Above average troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. outlook, excel, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, facilitation, planning and customer relation skills.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates with previous leadership experience.
  • Previous experience working with Water and Vac Trucks as well as Steaming and Washbays.
  • NCSO Designation or working towards.
  • Must have knowledge of towing light equipment, load securement and transportation legislation.
  • OSSA (or BSO or CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Must successfully pass BME pre-employment evaluation, D amp;A and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
