We are looking to hire a Maintenance Manager who possess a Millwright Licensed combined with management experience in leading Maintenance Technicians and enjoys performing hands-on work alongside their team when called upon. In this role, the Manager will be accountable for directing the department’s day to day activities with a focus on achieving the site’s maximum production potential, at the lowest cost while preserving asset value within a structured operating budget.This position is responsible for managing the maintenance service and repairs for the entire facility (ie. Production, Quality Control, R&D and Warehouse). In addition, this position is responsible for the Sherwin-Williams Reliability Excellence program, which includes: CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Oracle eAM Management (Electronic Asset Management), entering and removing assets, updating and adding SMP's (Standard Maintenance Procedures), Checklists, Asset BOM's (Bill of Materials), and associated matrix level compliance. Role is also responsible for driving asset utilization (OEE), and reducing Reactive work at the sites. Additionally, two key areas of responsibility for this role are Developing and Implementing Capital Projects and maintaining the department’s operating budget.Major Tasks Include:Maintaining discipline and accountability within the department, while fostering a safe and positive work environment.Promoting safety through proactive participation and support of company safety policies and programs, initiating corrective actions for recognized unsafe conditions and hazards. Additionally, encouraging employee involvement in all Safety initiatives.Planning, directing and supervising team members in executing department activities ensuring prompt and accurate response to equipment and facility maintenance needs, with emphasis on mitigating downtime.Training and developing the skill levels of team members.Maintaining records to track effectiveness of all department metrics.Support and ensure the site’s OHSAS 18001 Certification is maintained through SMART (Safety Means Awareness Responsibility Teamwork), an element of the company’s safety program.Developing budgets while maintaining sound cost control measures.Coordinating purchasing of supplies and equipment services for the department and plant in general.Monitoring equipment downtime through the company’s Electronic Asset Management (eAM).Reviewing and analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of production problems using eAM dataConducting annual team member performance reviews.Develop and implement Capital projects including lead tactical site-level projects and contribute to regional and divisional projects.Collaborate with other departments with continuous improvement processes / techniques using 6 Sigma certified, lean, transactional learn, root cause analysis and KaizenAssist management team in the execution and completion of CIP Projects.Basic Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa statusMust be a Licensed MillwrightPrevious Proven Maintenance Managerial Supervisory Experience is required.Must be Available to Support On-site a 24/7 Production Operation, when requiredMust have knowledge of Electrical Controls, PLC / Relay Logic, Pneumatics and HydraulicsPreferred Qualifications:An Engineering Diploma from an Accredited Institution OR Equivalent of a Minimum five (5) years of work Management Experience in related Technical Field with Industrial, Electrical or Welding Certifications and Post-Secondary Technical Certification is an assetPrior Experience Managing Capital Projects in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment is an assetGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Must have the ability to lift 25-50 lbs. and 50-100 lbs. on occasion with or without reasonable accommodationSherwin-Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
