Administrative Full-time PositionConestoga College is recruiting for a Professional Development Coach & Consultant position. This position will focus on College-wide programs, policies, and practices that focus on leadership development programming at all levels and on training and learning related to employee satisfaction and engagement, workplace wellbeing, EDI and other emerging societal trends. The incumbent will coach leaders and managers throughout the college to ensure synergy and promising practices that align with the mission, vision and values of the college. This position will use qualitative and quantitative information to create and monitor programs, policies, and practices and will provide strategic and practical advice regarding actions needed to be taken by the College. Working with leaders at all levels across all employee groups, the incumbent will focus on activities and outcomes that will improve the performance of all employees within the Conestoga College community.It is anticipated that this position will support department needs through a predominately remote work arrangement. Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required, according to department needs and activities.Responsibilities:
  • Coach leaders and managers utilizing professional coaching frameworks and adhering to the ICF Code of Ethics
  • Lead leadership development programs, college-wide, for all levels of people and program leaders and managers and special interest groups within the College
  • Lead training and development opportunities to increase levels of competency, and ensuring adherence to EDI practices and the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Research leadership and applied organizational development promising practices and continually integrate new learning and frameworks into the college programming
  • Lead coaching development programs and practices to ensure that people leaders and managers have the skills and knowledge to practice coaching with their teams
  • Coach leaders and managers to support them in their leadership development plans
  • Partner to support competency-based specified professional development plans for all employee groups
  • Administer inventories such as SDI 2.0, HPTi, and DiSC, to provide self-awareness for leaders and a specific training plan moving forward
  • Utilize complex responsive consulting approaches to develop strategies which foster growth mind-sets and the People Service Model
  • Embody a professional leadership presence aligned to strategic initiatives and objectives
Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master’s in Leadership, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, or a related discipline
  • Ten years of progressive leadership development, coaching, and training experience
  • Completed or in-progress International Coaching Federation (ICF) approved Coaching Certification required
  • Program, curriculum, and lesson planning design experience
  • Corporate Training Developer certificate is considered an asset
  • Experience teaching and training adults is considered an asset
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated applications of inclusion, diversity and equity concepts
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present to all levels within an academic environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution and networking skills
  • Proven emotional intelligence and agility
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Well-developed analytical, creative problem solving, and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of diverse professionals
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows, MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe 11, including Accessibility features in each program)
