This involves meeting with patients on the inpatient units and the emergency department.Responsibilities:

  • Interview patient/family to obtain insurance information and signatures
  • Follow up and support as directed by Financial Services in recouping payment as required
  • Supporting processes related to preferred accommodation in all units that process or admit inpatients
  • Support up-sell strategies in the optimization of preferred revenue
  • Review and correct all field criteria rejection prior to claim submission to insurance carrier
  • Assist in training and education of Registration Associates/UCAs related to preferred accommodations
Qualifications:
  • Mnimum college or diploma course in business, health services administration or health related field preferred
  • Previous registration/admitting experience in a health care organization preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in working with the public and other departments
  • Strong customer service background and skills
  • Knowledge of EPIC and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
