Job Description

Python Developer - Compliance Analyst - AML Technical SpecialistAbout the Role:As a Compliance Analyst - AML Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization by contributing to the development and maintenance of robust anti-money laundering (AML) systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative technical solutions that mitigate financial crime risks.Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain AML systems and tools using Python, SQL, and other relevant technologies.
    • Optimize database performance and conduct data analysis to identify trends and potential risks.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to ensure system reliability and maintainability.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation:
    • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions to minimize system downtime.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
    • Contribute to the development of innovative AML solutions to enhance the organization #39;s risk management capabilities.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Understand and apply relevant AML regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
    • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in AML systems and processes.
    • Collaborate with compliance teams to implement effective controls and monitoring procedures.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s or Master #39;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python programming and SQL.
  • Strong proficiency in database technologies (MS SQL, Oracle, Big Data/cloud databases).
  • 3+ years of experience in Java programming.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of risk management and compliance principles in the financial industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with XML technologies, statistics, and AML systems.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
