Job Description

Home Support Supervisor(Niagara Branch)The Home Support Supervisor, under the direction of the immediate Supervisor, is responsible for the delivery of care and service to clients and ensures compliance with internal and external standards of practice. She or he coordinates clinical education and in-service activities as requested.The Home Support Supervisor is a critical people leader for the Bayshore branch where they will be responsible for managing the workload and development of the Personal Support Workers (PSW) across the Niagara, ON Geographic Area. The position will have a large impact on the Niagara community as they serve to improve the clinical administrative branches of Bayshore and support our clients and staffWhat you’ll be doing:

  • You will develop and ensure that care plans are available or updated for our clients as needed.
  • The care of our clients and staff will always be a key priority for you, as you lead the integration of client satisfaction initiatives, participate in business development as needed and ensure that all client and staff concerns and safety are addressed and well documented.
  • You are a Bayshore Ambassador as you will be essential in promoting Bayshore Home Health in our local healthcare, business communities and community events.
  • As part of the Bayshore family, you will adhere to Bayshore policies and procedures, including participating in improvement initiatives, Health and Safety Activities and Process and maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding our clients and company information.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the companys Quality Management System.
  • Working closely with the Client Service Coordinator team to help coordinate services and in-service education programs to support our field employees.
Job QualificationSkills and Experience you already have:
  • At least five years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities, preferably in a community setting
  • A proven people leader preferably as supervisor in a community healthcare setting.
  • Able to develop and evaluate various training programs to up skill PSW’s.
  • Excellent written reports skills and be able to properly communicate with field and administrative employees
  • Solid understanding of meeting key deadlines for the staff, the branch and our client’s expectations.
  • Experience in working as a Personal Support Workers (PSW) is ideal, Experience with Acute Care will be a bonus.
  • Solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to clients as well as program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • RPN or RN registration is active and valid.
  • Valid driver’s license evidence of current CPR certification
