Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a HOTEL Maintenance manager with a proven track record and hotel maintenance management experience. The Maintenance Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the building’s mechanical systems are operating in a safe and efficient manner, and that all rooms and public space is well maintained and in proper working order. General duties will entail checking all operating systems such as heating and cooling systems, ensuring all equipment is running properly, performing minor repairs as needed, conducting regularly documented inspections of all facility equipment, and ensuring that safety regulations are met.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: · Lead a lean and efficient team with varied talents.· Operate and maintain the HVAC, Boiler, plumbing and electrical systems, as well as other mechanical equipment and ensure all are in good working order on a consistent and regular schedule.· Conduct regular guest room inspections and plan and execute in-house preventative maintenance programs to enhance guest satisfaction.

  • Respond to and diagnose equipment failures and service interruptions.
  • Perform repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts supply management and/or fabrication.
  • Schedule and oversee bigger equipment repair and new installs with 3rd party contractors with approval and PO from CEO.
  • Draft specific equipment operating procedures and instruct staff on proper operation and maintenance and upkeep.
  • Interact with team members, guests, and contractors in a professional manner
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with both legislative and recommended operating requirements.
  • Maintain the pool chemistry and logs per health inspection requirements.
  • Maintain pool chemicals onsite and ensure efficient ordering.
  • Maintain pool heating and pump equipment and perform regular maintenance as recommended.
  • Perform a wide range of general building maintenance duties.
  • Maintain familiarity with building systems including but not limited to, HVAC units, water heating units, water cooling system, fire alarm system, electrical systems, exhaust and light timers.
  • Ensures that housekeeping team is supported in cleanliness, as required.
  • Oversee exterior building maintenance including window washing, exterior lighting changed as required.
  • Control and maintain outside property maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, pool area, equipment room.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for staff as well as hotel guests.
  • Monitor fire alarm and suppression systems.
  • Act as the official fire and life safety representative for the company.
Miscellaneous
  • Conduct regular duties and report daily to the management on progress and challenges for ongoing maintenance items.
  • Perform checks, inspections and tests as required and report findings.
  • Maintenance and weekly testing of stand by generator system and associated equipment, in accordance with provincial and federal guidelines.
  • Interact with external contractors
  • Availability for on-call situations along with regular schedule
