Job Description

Artcraft Kitchens has been a leading custom cabinet manufacturer in Niagara Falls, ON for 60 years! Our continued growth presents us with the need for a motivated and experienced Packager. If you are looking for the opportunity to build the cabinets of our customer’s dreams, we would like to hear from you.Job Duties

  • Package complete cabinet orders and make ready for transportation to customer.
  • Remove parts or completed products from conveyors and manually package finished products
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
  • Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
  • Mark, record, and report defective products
  • Maintain a clean working area free from hazards and debris between tasks and at end of day
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
  • Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications
  • Partner with other departments to assist in the timely shipping of product
Job Requirements
  • Two years of related experience
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various packaging processes
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labour
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Work Conditions
  • Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
  • Use of required personal protective equipment
  • Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
  • Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 kilograms
  • Operating within tight deadlines

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
