Job Description

MedCare Clinics is a new multi-specialty medical clinic located in Ontario. Our clinics mission is to provide exceptional medical care to the surrounding communities. Our services include providing care in a family practice setting as well as walk-ins that are always welcome. Our team also includes specialty physicians that practice Internal Medicine; Our clinic has an on-site blood lab and INR clinic as well as vaccinations and seasonal flu clinics all provided by our Registered Nurse & Phlebotomist. MedCare Clinics is looking to grow our team with the addition of a physician assistant. The physician assistant will work under the supervision of our qualified family physician.Job Type / CategoryA brief list of the Physician Assistant’s duties will include the following:

  • Complete patient medical history & physical examination
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.)
  • Provide treatment plans and diagnosis
  • Educate and counsel patients
  • Prescribe medications
  • Collaborate with the physician to ensure the quality of patient care
We are offering a competitive salary and flexible hours. Shifts will include some weekend coverage. 40 hours/week. 8-10 hours per day shifts - schedule varies based on your availability. Location will be in St. Catharines or Niagara region.Required Education, Skills and Qualifications- Completion of a Physician Assistant program- International Medical Graduate with extensive Physician Assistant or independent practice experience- EMR experience- Standard of card according to the Canadian healthcare systemJob Types: Full-time, InternshipExperience:
  • EMR: 1 year (preferred)
  • Physician Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
