Flexibility in scheduling is required. The work schedule is determined in consultation with your supervisor and may vary according to requirements of responsibility. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break.Shifts will vary from: Monday to Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Interested applicants must respond in writing with a cover letter and resume.We thank all applicants, however, only those candidates to be interviewed will be contacted.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for screening of visitors, employees, volunteers, vendors and contractors as they enter the Niagara Eventide Long Term Care HomeResponding to inquiries and directing visitors within the buildingEnsure high touch point areas are being cleaned, sanitized and disinfected throughout the dayPerform all duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all hazards to the supervisor immediatelyAny other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Must possess a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 months of experience in a clinical or health care environment, long term care setting is preferredExperience working directly with the public (e.g. customer service, patient relations)Current enrollment in Registered Nursing, Registered Practical Nursing or Personal Support Worker programs considered an assetFirst Aid and CPR certification considered an assetSuccessful candidate will require a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable SectorTB test is requiredSKILLSStrong communication and prioritizing skillsFlexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervisionAble to work independently and as part of a teamStrong conflict resolution skillsAbility to follow direction and proceduresStrong work ethic, professional, diplomatic and dependable with the demonstrated ability to adapt to changing requirementsExceptional customer service skillsDemonstrates strong decision-making skillsAbility to maintain confidentialitySPECIAL CONDITIONSMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (mask, glove, etc) as requiredAn annual influenza vaccination is recommendedRegular COVID-19 testing requiredRequired to work even if home is in an outbreak with required Personal Protective EquipmentThe Salvation Army will accommodate candidates as required under applicable human rights legislation.If you require a disability-related accommodation during this process, please inform us of your requirements.Internal Applicants, please advise Department Heads of your intentions prior to submitting your application
