Ruffinos is a farm to table restaurant focusing on scratch italian cooking. We use locally sourced products from canada as a well our 4 acre farm where our produce is grown. Everything is made in house ranging from our sourdough breads, pastas, sauces, soups, characuterie, whole animal butchery, etc. Our cuisine is based off of utilizing our wood-fired oven and grill.In addition, we have a sister restaurant: Bar Bea; a new wine and snack bar located next door to Ruffinos. Bar Bea will follow the same food philosiphy as Ruffinos, making everything in house using locally sourced products. The food menu will focus on small plates with both spanish and canadian influencesWe are seeking an experienced passionate pastry chef who possess a passion for food, cooking and the baking arts. This candidate will be responsible in daily preparation and execution of the menu as directed by sous chef and chef de cuisine. He/she will be required to maintain a clean a safe working environment following health and safety protocols. The candidate will assist in dessert menu development for both restaurants This person must be team oriented, organized, works well under pressure, able to work well in both a team and on their own, and have a willingness to continuously learn. Both restaurants have a open concept kitchen and so chef-to guest interaction is encouraged.
