This position reports to the Director of Capital Planning and Redevelopment/Engineering Services/Biomedical Engineering. The role will encompass both contract management based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) in an Alternate Procurement and Finance (AFP) environment and traditional construction planning and management in the Hospital/Public sector.In their role as coordinator, the incumbent will support the organization in ensuring that the Facilities Management (FM) services are delivered as per the Service Level Agreement/Project Agreement for our Design-Build-Finance-Maintian (DBFM)/AFP/Public Private Partnership (P3) site in St. Catharines. This includes audits of in-scope services and management of out-of-scope adds, moves and changes. The position will also work with internal stakeholders to review project requests for appropriateness and feasibility within the AFP model, process paperwork to acquire and review quotes and pricing for appropriateness and review project work with service provider to ensure that projects are successfully completed.The project coordinator will also carry a project workload of traditional renovation and construction projects at Niagara Healths (NH) legacy sites. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing infrastructure related projects for both the planning and engineering departments. Working at various sites of NH, the project coordinator will call and chair project meetings with clinical and service departments coordinating users, Information Communication and Technology department, consultants and contractors for projects from start to finish. The Incumbent will be required to plan, prepare construction budgets, support clinical users within the internal financial approval process, prepare tender packages, analyze bids, review contractors document submissions and recommend the successful bidder. Other responsibilities include applying for building permits and meeting all regulations for construction projects; coordinating and scheduling all projects and turning over commission equipment and operating instructions and documents from contractor to facility management departments; preparing site instructions, contemplated change orders and reviewing RFP and contractors progress draws.
