• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Completion of a recognized course in housekeeping is preferred

KNOWLEDGE

• Up to one-month current experience preferably in a long term care geriatric setting.
• Experience in operating and utilizing commercial/institutional equipment and products.

(General Requirements)

• Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
• Must be able to tolerate heat conditions.
• Must have a good attendance record.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, the position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate.

Shift InformationCasual vacation relief position for summer relief period. Currently scheduled 0 hours all shifts and may be required to work days, evenings and nights, including weekends. Must be willing and able to work up to 24 hours per week and commit to be available for 32 hours per week.Conditions of offer include:

• obtaining a vulnerable sector police clearance that is less than 6 months old from date of hire
• satisfactory completion of Mantoux Baseline 1 and 2 Clearance (or chest x-ray)
• presenting educational qualifications
• satisfactory completion of a physical assessment

In order to be employed in our seniors division or any long term care facility, you must possess a current vulnerable sector police clearance that is less than 6 months old.
