Known for our innovation and service philosophy, our employees bring our values to life through a passion for quality service delivery.POSITION SUMMARYThe Associate, Finance and People & Culture Support will be reporting to the Finance Team Lead and Senior Generalist, Human Resources. The incumbent will work closely with the Finance Team Lead to ensure the full AP cycle is completed each month. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including invoice entry, payment run processing, audits, manual filing, and special projects as required.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full-cycle Accounts payable managing full cycle accounts payable duties, including coding, posting, and EFT/cheque payments
  • Assist with month-end closing, cheque runs, EFT, and other payment sources
  • Complete bank deposit as needed, prepare vendor cheques for mailing
  • Posting of cashed cheques and electronic payments that have cleared the bank
  • Receive and verify invoices and employee expense reports are in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Act as the key contact with vendors to resolve billing issues
  • Assist with the preparation and required documentation for the annual fiscal year-end audit
  • Support the HR team in maintaining digital and electronic records of employees.
  • Support with other HR administrative tasks.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence in daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to Nucleus Code of Conducts
  • Perform routine office duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing, mail, courier
  • Perform other duties as required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • College or University graduate in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Must be proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger accounts
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with daily activities
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluent in English
  • Highly organized, possessing a solid ability to plan and effectively manage large volumes of work with a high degree of accuracy and extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, manage and meet timelines, and work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage stress, adapt, and move easily with change
  • Able to interact with employees of all administrative levels in a positive and professional manner
  • Able to compose correspondence and prepare professional documentation, letters, memos, reports, presentations and spreadsheets
  • Must possess a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and maturity
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated dedication to improving the quality and efficiency of functional processes.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • A Criminal Record Check will be conducted prior to and periodically throughout employment
  • Flexibility required to occasionally work extended hours and weekends, as the need arises.
  • Ability to travel to multiple work site locations.
