Accountable for the design, implementation and maintenance of L&D programs for the Operations team (Manufacturing & Supply Chain). Drives and executes our Learning & Development strategy that supports our overall business objectives and employee development. Works closely with the Operations team, HR and other departments to develop, implement and follow through on our learning strategy.Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring learning and development programs for the operations group (Manufacturing and Supply Chain)
  • Manage the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) designed to build operations leadership capabilities. This includes program management, facilitation, improvements, and efforts to drive sustainability of the content.
  • Collaborate with the HRBP and operations leaderships team to conduct competency gap assessments and develop gap closure plans.
  • Consults with the business, in particular Operations Leaders, HSE and HRBP’s to develop short- and long-term HR programs that support the achievement of organizational goals and strategies.
  • Act as matrix manager for the location specific trainers who support the local training and onboarding efforts to ensure alignment, efficiencies, and consistency of programs.
  • Deliver Train the Trainer (TTT) sessions as needed to support the local roll-out of programs.
  • Design and deliver L&D programs using a variety of tools and methods including eLearning, webinar and classroom style to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Manage the launch of new training programs, from beginning to end, including needs analysis, instructional design, learning delivery, measuring effectiveness, project management and conducting research on current trends and best practices related to their programs
  • Monitor and measure training and adjust programs based on changing business needs to drive continuous improvement
  • Identifies and manages relationships with third-party vendors to support L&D programs; monitors and assesses effectiveness of vendor developed programs
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal customers and external vendors
  • Develop and manage effective project plans and drive effective budget and vendor management
  • Stay current on L&D trends and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements
  • Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a learning culture within the organization

  • A Bachelor’s degree or College diploma
  • A diploma in Adult Learning is an asset
  • ATD/CTSD certification is an asset
Technical Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the design and delivery of training programs
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years’ in a leadership role
  • Bilingual French/English is required
  • Proven experience in leadership development, group facilitation and project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience launching new L&D programs and managing large projects
  • Experience with authoring tools (i.e. Articulate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) an asset
  • Experience in a matrix environment is an asset
  • Employee will need to travel and visit other IPEX locations (approximately 25%)
