Job Description

Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service is a major provider of healthcare laundry and linen services to hospitals, sub-acute and medical facilities across Canada and the western United States. As a Clean Green® certified laundry operator, Ecotex demonstrates the use of best practices for reusing, reclaiming, and recycling resources.Summary of PositionTo support leading linen management practices and customer experience, Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service is currently seeking a Full-time, Permanent Hospital based Linen Operations Coordinator for one of our Ontario customers.Duties and Responsibilities· Manage on-site healthcare linen distribution porter team, supporting a collaborative culture in partnership with our Hospital client· Manage linen ordering integrity and optimization across multiple Hospital sites· Provide inventory management and accountability across the Hospital sites· Manage customer relationships with Hospital Support Services and Clinical staff through proactive communication, daily rounding and client interaction· Support linen quota change process with the local Account Manager through cost analysis and Hospital approval protocols· Ensure linen and laundry supplies are ordered and controlled in line with Hospital policies and procedures· Support the continuous quality improvement plan and acceptable linen quality standards· Identify opportunities to support improvement patient care through integration of smarter linen solutions· Complete monthly and ad hoc linen reports to ensure appropriate utilization and decision making· Complete quarterly customer service audits with Hospital Account Manager· Participate in monthly account performance and priority reviews· Manage customer service issues quickly and effectivelyRequired Skills and Knowledge· Working knowledge of hospital linen services and unionized environments· Strong communication skills including ability to negotiate and build consensus· Ability to exercise good judgement and sensitivity in dealing with hospital and staff information· Ability to prioritize and successfully resolve issues with high sense of urgency and customer experience focus· Strong attention to detail and follow through· Reliable transportation and ability to travel between three sites in close proximityEducation and Experience· College Degree in Healthcare Environmental Services Management or combination of relevant industry and work experience· Minimum of 4 years experience managing on site healthcare or other linen distribution services· Previous experience in a unionized healthcare environment would be an asset· Previous experience with successful leadership of direct reportsEcotex is committed to providing a fair and equitable work environment and encourages applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, aboriginal peoples, and persons with disabilities.
