Job Description

  • Any request the GM onsite asks you to perform on their behalf with the GM onsite having responsibility for outcome.
  • Responsible to maintain your required schedule in a timely manner and assisting in producing an ongoing/weekly document schedule. This will maintain and keep staff at a proper operating compliment at all times. Please keep the GM onsite informed on a weekly basis of any changes that can reflect negatively in the weekly staff scheduling.
  • Responsible for the transference and update of any information regarding Urban Market in a timely manner. This means any communication with or regarding vendors, wholesale, staff or anything that involves Urban Market.
  • Reporting Cash on Hand at weeks end to GM onsite.
  • Refilling of shelves and the placement of orders on shelves in a manner reflecting
Ownerships requirements. This means keep shelves full at all times when possible.
  • General maintenance and cleaning of the store daily. These tasks are to be executed when not dealing with customers. Dusting, sweeping, wiping of any hard surfaces. Product is to be kept dust free and faced up daily.
  • Refill stock as needed or report needed stock by written communication to the GM onsite. It is expected that when there is 10% remaining stock from the original order this needs to be addressed. Assisting in making sure shelves are kept full is important to your role.
  • Sales representative facilitating the appropriate Customer Experience is integral to this role. It requires greeting the client in a pleasant manner and offering assistance. Offering them to help locate an item. Ringing in items and packing them appropriately while encouraging them to come again. It is an important component to make the Customer Experience pleasant and efficient at Urban Market.

Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
