Job Description

URGENT NEED!We are looking for a Part Time Educational Assistant (EA) to deliver academic, recreational therapeutic and behavioural support services under the direction of various therapists as well as the child’s teacher.The successful candidate will be working 1-1 with a child who has been diagnosed as being ADHD and autistic, resulting in learning disabilities. Experience working with children with disabilities as well as challenging behaviours is required.We encourage you to apply if you have:

  • Been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Several years of experience working with special needs children. A minimum of two years of experience is preferred; not including college EA program placements, co-op placements or volunteer work. Ongoing training is provided.
  • Acceptable educational qualification such as: Educational Assistant College Diploma.
  • Vulnerable sector check, CPR certification.
  • Valid full G drivers license, reliable vehicle, current safety check, and 6A insurance (to drive clients throughout the community).
