The ideal candidate must possess retail merchandising experience as well as strong training skills to communicate current styling trends and interpret them to meet the company’s visual and marketing strategies. This position requires traveling to and working in multiple stores on rotation. The candidate creates a strong first impression of Fashion in Giant Tiger Stores through Visual Merchandising with a high regard for brand standards and quality in a performance driven culture.Visual Merchandising Associate, Job Highlights:Merchandising:Create visual impact with displays and merchandise presentation that enhances the company’s image as a fashion store, enticing the customer to buy through the execution of company visual presentation/marketing direction and guidelines;Support approximately 40 Stores in executing, adapting and training of all in-store merchandising directives and standards within the Southwestern Ontario region (Hamilton- Niagara- Windsor- London- Sarnia- Windsor- Owen Sound) and all areas betweenExecute merchandising assignments per company communications and standards;Facilitate special merchandising projects as per the Store Merchandising Training Manager;Continually review, test and challenge standards to ensure clear and consistent execution.Training:Work with the Store Manager and Sales Staff to identify and teach new talent;Train store staff on visual merchandising standards and seasonal display set ups;Support in-store routines when necessary;Provide consistent and regular feedback to Stores and Regional Support Managers;Maintain regular communication with Supervisor (Store Merchandising Training Manager).Visual Merchandising Associate, Key Qualifications3 years of in-store retail experience in visual merchandising and training;Strong visual merchandising skills and the ability to drive business through creativity, fashion consciousness and market trends;Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills;Strong organizational skills; the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment;Strong listening, oral and written communication skills;Ability to work independently and as part of a team;Knowledge of basic computer skills;Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds;Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes/boxes, etc.) for a short distance;Ability to climb ladders and step stools;Travel frequently within Ontario and surrounding areas often with overnight stays;Valid drivers license and the use of a vehicle;Bilingualism (French and English), an asset.Travel daily within the Southwestern Ontario region (Hamilton- Niagara- Windsor- London- Sarnia- Windsor- Owen Sound) and surrounding areas often with overnight stays;Quick Apply
