Job Description

  • Acknowledge all customers as they enter the pick-up station, verify items to be loaded, and load customer’s vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
  • Manage and maintain warehouse & yard processes and policies.
  • Receive materials and supplies from vendors and the Home Hardware Distribution Center.
  • Maintain stock of the lumber yard and warehouse, including managing damaged goods
  • Maintain equipment (i.e. forklift) and ensure necessary supplies are on-hand
  • Ensure the lumber yard & warehouse are a safe environment for customers and associates
  • Prepare for and assist with store inventory
  • Work closely with delivery drivers to maximize efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • Great customer service skills and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be physically fit to handle building materials.
  • Ability to work on your feet (standing and walking) for long periods of time.
  • Dependable with a focus on safety.
  • Knowledge of building materials industry is an asset.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
