Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – To perform this job successfully , an individual must be able to perform the following:Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment

  • Managing data entry off- shore obtaining approval, and ensuring validation and correctness
  • Reconcile all credit card transactions daily and obtain approval. Process Credit Card Payments on time.
  • Process payments through, batch checks runs , wires and ACH payments, credit cards and EFT
  • Assist in reconciling freight charges to ensure they are valid
  • Assist in reconciling warehouse invoices
  • Flag and escalate invoice vs purchase order variances
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor payments
  • Monthly Vendor statement reconciliation
  • Assist with monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare weekly Accounts Payable reports as required
  • Ensure all accounts payable policies and procedures are adhered to including expenses, purchases, Volume Rebates, Vendor payments etc.
  • Assist in preparing Tax payments
  • Assist supervisor to identify and implement process improvements
  • Assist the team with gathering support for all audits , including pulling documents
  • Support Supervisor in other ad hoc tasks as needed
EducationPreferred with accounting degree or proven experience in accounting roles.3- 10 years experience in Accounting – plus if in Accounts PayableKnowledge , Skills and AbilitiesThrough understanding of general accounting
  • Intermediate proficiency with a strong emphasis on ERP systems and use of data technology
  • Adherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for accounting deliverables
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management vendors and associates
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain an organized structure
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative
  • Accurate strong attention to detail

Experience:
