Job Description

WHATS THE JOBYoure joining an innovative, agile, 200+ employee company with international reach, with plants in St-Jerome (QC) & Shanghai (China) and still growing after 50 years.The procurement team is currently looking for an intern for the winter of 2023. You will be joining a tightly knit team that is constantly in solution mode and running on innovative ideas. Here, every day is different and presents new challenges.This internship offer is for the winter 2023 session, with the possibility of an extension for the summer, and who knows, maybe a position afterwards!WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH YOUR TIMEUnder the responsibility of the Receiving and Shipping Supervisor, the intern will be called upon to participate in various projects in this sector and collaborate with our team of 5 buyers.

  • Managing obsolescence in the receiving and shipping departments
  • Develop and implement a process for managing obsolescence in the receiving and shipping departments
  • Participate in the project to automate the validation of barcodes in shipping
  • Participate in the project to automate the stocking process
  • Participate in the project to evaluate the storage occupancy rate at the reception by identifying the number of pieces per pallet for each insert and raw material;
  • Manage shipments to our external warehouse
  • Participate in the Inventory A, B, C classification project
  • Participate in the project of occupancy rate at the reception (to optimize space)
  • Participate in the implementation of some inventory KPI
  • Other projects
WHAT YOUVE GOT
  • BAC in GOP, AEC in logistics or any relevant DEC
  • Knowledge of the Office 365 Suite
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Desire to learn and develop your current knowledge
