Job Description

Appliance Service Technician Job SummaryOur company is seeking a reliable Appliance Service Technician to respond to customer calls for household appliance repair and installation needs. You must have knowledge of refrigeration and dishwashing components, stove installation, and washer/dryer repair. Our ideal candidate has vast appliance repair experience, follows all industry safety requirements, and the ability to stay up-to-date on the latest technology in this field. Excellent customer service skills are essential. National certification and experience with home improvement sales are a plus.Appliance Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair various household appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers and heat pumps.
  • Swiftly respond to customer calls regarding issues or malfunctions
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot problems
  • Provide repair options, estimates, and timeframes to customers, taking into account any product warranties they have
  • Complete billing and invoicing paperwork
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest appliance technology and parts
Appliance Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Sufficient experience in and knowledge of appliance repair and installation
  • Postsecondary training from a trade or vocational school (preferred)
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina
