https://jdirving.com/globalassets/jdi/Midland.pngClass 5 Driver – Courier Owner Operator- Mon Fri (0600 to 1700)Midland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers.Our services include LTL, T/L, Courier Services, and Third Party Logistics/ Brokerage which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.Midland Courier is currently seeking a Courier Owner Operator Driver based in Saint John, NB Terminal. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow the pickup and delivery procedure in the city and surrounding areas
  • Load and unload the cargo van properly and in a safe manner to avoid damaging packages
  • Maintain company equipment standards
  • Process daily pickup and delivery records
  • Listen to and communicate efficiently with the customer
  • Work in accordance with the safety regulation, company rules and procedures
  • Report any incident, accident, injury, damage
Requirements:
  • Education Required: High School or GED
  • Approx. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 06:00 to 17:00
  • Class 5 driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years’ safe commercial driving experience required
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search
  • Must have a newer model Cube Van that will need to be painted
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to lift to 75 lbs. using the proper equipment
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability
  • Safety conscious.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Hourly rates (Driving) $37.73- (non-Driving) $22.15
  • Excess KM Supplement $0.25/km - over 105 total kms/day on normal delivery route.
  • Tailgate allowance if supplied by the owner -additional $1.5/hour paid on all driving hours.
  • Fuel purchased at authorized fuel stops by the Company will be charged to the Owner Operator at a rate of $0.408 on gasoline or diesel.
  • Uniform Allowance of $350 per unit, per year.
