Job descriptionCompany DescriptionVlocity Transportation & Logistics is a delivery service provider throughout Saint John and the surrounding area.Role Outline: You will be delivering packages throughout Saint John and the surrounding area.We are looking to add both Full Time & Part Time drivers for our growing team as the demand continues to grow. This is NOT a part time job for students or a side job for your main job. Many have taken this on as their full time career with our company.If you enjoy driving and working independently, this is the perfect job for you!If you enjoy driving and working independently, this is a great place for you!Your shift begins at 8 am and ends upon completion of your route (approx. 6-8 hours depending on your experience and route size).Key Details: Full time and Part time available.This is a 7 day operation - we are hiring for every day of the week including weekends. Schedules range from 3 to 6 days a week.Similar to many other driving jobs, with the added benefit of using a company vehicle (including gas). Routes are a mix of rural and urban areas. Our winning model has our team working in small zones to maximize efficiency and ensure service agreements are met.The ideal candidate should possess the following: · Delivery experience required.· 5 years valid and current Driver License - Class 5 fully licensed.· Must obtain a Driver Record Abstract as well as RCMP criminal record. (we will provide the available resources to acquire this upon completion of training).· Able to get in and out of a sprinter van, Step van, carry packages, occasionally up and down stairs throughout the shift.· Must be able to lift packages 100LBs.· Must be able to work weekends, assigned shifts, and alternate days.· Must be able to speak and read English fluently, follow directions.· Be comfortable with technology: Smartphone and Cellular Data required (iPhone or Android), Able to use a Smartphone App as well as GPS devices, etc.∙ Driving experience in Canadian Winters.*Duties and Responsibilities: What you will be doing: · Safely operate company-provided vehicle.· Perform routine daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.· Sorting and scanning packages.· Loading/unloading packages.· Strictly adhere to predetermined routes, schedules, and local traffic laws to ensure safe and efficient delivery.· Load packages at the warehouse and unload/deliver packages at the delivery destination.· Timely report all issues to management.· Use devices for routes and driving directions, customer instructions, delivery confirmation, package scanning and photos.· Help other drivers on the team when needed (rescue).· Always follow and comply with all required processes.· Produce reports to management.· Other tasks required by management.What’s in it for youThis position offers CAD 28,600 - 34,300 Annually.As a part of VLOCITY you will be using the company vehicles to deliver parcels.
