Reporting to the Enterprise Information Security Officer, you will be applying information security standards to WorkSafeNB corporate solutions and monitoring the operation of information security controls defined in the Information Security Management System. You will need good technical and functional knowledge of systems throughout the technology stack, such as PCs, mobile devices, servers, databases, web platforms, network components and Azure. You will conduct risk assessments and be responsible for determining and advising the EISO and Senior Specialists on vulnerabilities and risks discovered along with providing balanced mitigation recommendations. You will also take part in the investigation of events and security incident response to support WorkSafeNB’s enterprise restoration efforts. You will need to study the latest security trends and technologies to propose security solutions that help improve the organizational security posture, as well as contributing to organizational planning activities. This position can be located anywhere in the province of New Brunswick.Your key areas of responsibility include:• Identifying information security standards applicable to WorkSafeNB lines of business, reviewing security industry trends, and proposing relevant upgrades or other changes to ensure WorkSafeNB remains secure.• Determining business aligned solutions to vulnerabilities and risks.• Investigating events and processing security incident response activities as established by the EISO. WorkSafeNB operates several information security controls and this role will be part of the team that monitors said controls for indications of system malfunction or misuse. This will require viewing and properly processing tickets from both automated and human reporting.• Supporting an organization-wide Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned to ISO 27001. This entails the review, selection and monitoring of security controls for operation within WorkSafeNB.
