Job Description

About Ocean Steel Rebar LimitedIn business for over 50 years, Ocean Steel’s Rebar Division cuts, bends and installs reinforcingsteel for poured-in-placed concrete work. Ocean Steel Rebar’s plant capacity is currently 10,000+ tons. Estimating, detailing, shop scheduling, tagging and shipping is performed using a computerized production management system. Rebar shop drawings are prepared using the latest 3D CAD technology to CSA, CRSI and ASTM specifications. Rebar is installed using in-house or subcontracted field crews depending on the project requirements. Projects have been completed projects in various regions of Canada and Bermuda.Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery including benders, shears and overhead crane
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Tying rebar bundles together with wire for shipping
  • Ensuring shop cleanliness
  • General labour duties as required
Requirements
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Construction, manufacturing plant or rebar tying experience will be considered assets
  • Overtime may be required
  • Shift work may be required
