YOUR EXPERIENCE: To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
  • Experience: 2+ years of events planning. Experience with social media channels and posting of content. Experience in influencer marketing an asset.
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Event Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written professional communication are essential with a strong attention to overall grammar. Strong multi-tasker, time management and problem-solver.
  • Characteristics: You are a creative person by nature, enjoying outside the box thinking while simultaneously tying all loose ends during your planning. A proactive self-starter, who can work collaborating but feel comfortable working autonomously. More importantly, you are comfortable making decisions to create memorable and efficient CAA events.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Events Marketing Coordinator, your main tasks would include but not limited to:EVENTS:
  • Responsible organizing events that build community and brand awareness including Member exclusive, Community and In-Branch Events.
  • Accountable for full coordination of CAA events, from planning to organizing logistics, operations, communication, event registration and prom
  • Be a CAA Niagara ambassador by channeling our core values and showing your passion for the company and our Niagara Region community
  • Attend events and be the point of contact at events. Pro-actively identify, address and solve issues that may arise while on-site
  • Complete post-event reports and offer recommendations to strengthen future programs
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create and deploy marketing campaigns around the various events to drive attendance and member engagement
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned
SOCIAL MEDIA:
  • Responsible for updating CAA Niagara’s social media channels with current content for our members and community.
  • Responsible for taking photos and videos while at events and post to CAA Niagara’s social media channels
  • Develop and implement a social medial posting calendar, including creation of organic social posts and ad content.
  • Track social media performance and engagement and make recommendations on ways to improve.
  • Support engagement across social media channels, including commenting and responding to direct messages.
  • Ongoing learning and staying current of latest social media trends.
ADMINISTRATION:
  • Create and maintain an inventory of CAA branded marketing supplies, ensuring stock is sufficient for each event and re-order as needed
  • Responsible for keeping marketing materials clean and organized: Ensuring all equipment and supplies are cleaned, sanitized and properly stored after each event.
  • Support the Marketing team with administrative tasks such as data entry, project coordination and other ad hoc activities as requested.
WORKING CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and possible holidays
  • Must maintain valid ‘G’ license, maintain clean drivers abstract and ability to be covered by workplace vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to drive sprinter van and/or pick-up truck
  • Must be able to stand and walk in all terrains for long periods of time and work outside in all weather
  • As responsible for setting up events, must be able to lift up to 40lbs
