Job Description

Millbrook First Nation is seeking flexible and self-motivated applicants for the position of Audit Assistant for a term contract.Position Summary: This position will be working closely with the finance team to assist in the completion of the audit file for MFN. This is a term contract for approximately three (3) to four (4) months depending on project completion.Knowledge of:

  • Accounting practices, and knowledge on auditing best practices.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting software and spread sheet application.
  • Along with other duties as required.
  • Collating, checking and analysing spreadsheet data.
  • Examining company accounts and financial control systems.
  • Checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable.
Ability to:
  • Assist in various tasks relating to financial aspects.
  • Maintain high confidentiality.
  • Work in a team environment.

Education and Experience:
  • Required financial accounting background and relevant education.

Salary: T.B.D based on knowledge, experience and qualifications.
