Find out more at our website.Position DescriptionTitle: Maintenance SupervisorDepartment: MaintenanceImmediate Supervisor: Maintenance ManagerStatus: Full-TimePosition Purpose: Directs and coordinates the activities of the maintenance team to meet plant production goals.Principle Accountabilities

  • Leading, mentoring and managing the maintenance team comprised of 14 certified tradespeople.
  • Ensuring all IPG safety policies and procedures are followed when planning and executing work.
  • Identify and develop the competency of team members through regular employee performance and training reviews.
  • Identify and implement required training programs to maintain the required skills or address identified gaps.
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner and Engineer to prepare weekly schedules for the maintenance team.
  • Work with process owners to ensure that the maintenance team is supporting production goals.
  • Increase equipment reliability by: developing proactive measures to avoid equipment failures and reviewing equipment failures and implement PM tasks to avoid recurrence.
  • Assist in preparing work plans and schedules for all major equipment shutdowns.
  • Prepare regular reports on key maintenance metrics. This includes weekly schedule compliance, safety compliance and equipment failure investigations.
  • Related tasks as requested by manager.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in the direct supervision of a maintenance team in an industrial environment.
  • Relevant Trade or Technician certification with relevant experience - (Industrial Electrician or Millwright preferred)
  • Demonstrated commitment to Safety - safe work practices are incorporated into all work plans.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills - the ability to effectively communicate with team members to develop work plans and schedules.
  • Ability to set work priorities based on customer requirements, impact on employee safety and equipment condition.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with a CMMS package and Microsoft Office environment
