Job Description

We are seeking an experienced individual who is willing to drive the “extra mile” to deliver and pick up our products. The role is physical and requires the lifting, loading and unloading of products…but we like to consider it as an opportunity for you to get in a workout! If you are motivated, have a desire to provide quality service, enjoy interacting with customers and appreciate the independence of being on the road making deliveries…we have a spot for you on our team.You will possess at minimum a valid D* license*, a clear Drivers Abstract (3 years) and have 3 years experience in driving commercial straight trucks. You are comfortable and familiar with driving in Regions such as the Niagara Peninsula, the Greater Toronto Area, Southwestern Ontario and locally within Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding area.As a Delivery Truck Driver you will be responsible to ensure the safe transportation and delivery of products to our customers, while representing the company in a professional manner through positive driving habits and courteous customer interaction.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform duties in keeping with the Ministry of Transportation requirements.
  • Operate the vehicle safely and in accordance with local jurisdiction.
  • Maintain records/logs as prescribed by the Ministry of Transportation and company policy.
  • Operate company issued electronic and/or communication equipment professionally and respectfully.
  • Conduct thorough and effective inspections & maintenance of vehicle and material on board.
  • Strap and secure materials to ensure materials are safely transported.
  • Liaise with Transportation/Shipping department to advice of any delays or questions of deliveries
  • Delivery and/or pick-up of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both the customer & the company
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Graduation Diploma
  • 3 consecutive and current years of driving Heavy Commercial Trucks
  • Valid D license - 3 year with clear Driver’s Abstract
  • Previous Delivery Truck Driver experience
  • Ability to lift up to 110lbs | 50kg throughout the day, normally with assistance.
