The Role:
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting would be an asset
  • Maintain all production equipment
  • Perform hands-on programming/debug/troubleshooting of numerous types of automation and mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate all project controls/electrical activities to ensure that project timing, quality, and cost targets are attained.
  • High level knowledge for support of manufacturing systems for automation to include PLC #39;s, PC #39;s, Robots, Servo #39;s, Hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Participates in team analysis for problem solving of major breakdowns
  • Ensure that all production related equipment is maintained to achieve efficiency and effectiveness with proper uptime, yields and throughput.
  • Must be capable of specifying and sourcing materials and equipment to best suit requirements
  • Installing conduit and wire, terminating conductors
  • Troubleshooting circuitry and replacing damaged components on industrial equipment and systems
  • Installing fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems
  • Ordering required parts and controlling all job materials using our computer system
  • Assisting in the robot cells including vision (ABB)
  • Modification of existing production equipment
  • Communicate unresolved maintenance problems to the Maintenance Manager.
You Bring:
  • A Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (309A or 442A) and relevant industrial experience.
  • Minimum 5 years #39; experience on repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and automated assembly applications in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Communication skills are essential, as well as the belief in employee teamwork and operating excellence concepts.
  • Knowledge of Air Compressors, High Viscosity Pumps, PLCs, robots, conveyors and/or pneumatics would be an asset
