We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Staffing Clerk performs the staffing and scheduling functions for the organization as per the established policies and procedures.Experience

  • 1 year experience in an equivalent position preferably in a health care environment.
  • 1 year experience working with ESP or other computerized staffing system performing extensive staffing and scheduling functions for an organization.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade XII graduate, Manitoba standards.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Advanced knowledge in staffing and scheduling processes.
  • Knowledge of applying collective agreement language in relation to staffing processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant Workplace Safety and Health responsibilities.
  • Ability to expertly use ESP effectively and efficiently to replace/schedule staff.
  • Proficiency in obtaining staff replacement in a complex unionized environment.
  • Proficiency in the basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and asking for guidance or direction when necessary.
  • Ability to use effective English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to select and use communication skills appropriate to the situation.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to problem solve and using tact, objectivity and sound judgment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain accurate files and records.
  • Ability to prioritize work activities, working in an organized manner and utilizing time efficiently.
  • Ability to use systems and equipment typical of an office environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical and mental health to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
