We are hiring two supervisors/Foreman to supervise the team of park workers during the assembly and dismantling of the Festival du Voyageur 2023 starting January 3, 2023 until March 17, 2023.Who We Are: The Festival du Voyageur inc. is a French-speaking non-profit organization founded in 1969 that offers the public artistic and educational experiences inspired by the voyageur era of 1815. The first edition of the Festival du Voyageur winter celebration took place in 1970. This annual event taking place for 10 days in February is now the largest francophone event in Western Canada welcoming more than 90,000 festival-goers per year. This celebration highlights the arts of several disciplines, namely music, dance, sculpture and visual arts, while prioritizing Francophone and Aboriginal artists.Job Overview: In collaboration with the Project Manager and the Park Manager, the Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, monitoring and directing the teams of park workers (team of 10-14 people) during the assembly, maintenance and dismantling of the park. This position is outdoors and requires working in very cold weather conditions for long periods of time. Working hours will be fixed from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. before the Festival, then variable with a minimum of 40 hours per week from February 11 to 28, 2023.Responsibilities include, among others:
