Job Description

About ACG Construction: ACG Construction is a locally owned and operated construction and property management company that manages 120,000 sqft of commercial properties. We handle all aspects of construction, renovation, and maintenance, ensuring that our fleet of equipment is always in top working condition. We are looking for a reliable and skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Shop Mechanic at ACG Construction, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment, vehicles, and small engines. You will ensure the cleanliness and organization of our shop, assist with shipping and receiving, and help with deliveries related to our renovation and maintenance projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on 2-stroke equipment, small diesel engines, and company vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs for all equipment and vehicles.
  • Ensure that the shop remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Assist with the organization and receiving of shipments, as well as the delivery of tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
  • Help manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and report when stock is low.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols in all tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with 2-stroke equipment, small diesel engines, and vehicles.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Forklift certification or experience (preferred but not required).
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Benefits:
