Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.3M’s Medical Solutions Division is seeking an experienced Account Manager (Operating Room portfolio) for its Edmonton and Northern Alberta territory. The successful candidate will make an impact by working with healthcare practitioners, procurement, key stakeholders, and cross functional teams. The candidate will develop value-based initiatives within the territory, implementing key platforms for various healthcare providers with a primary focus in acute, homecare and long-term care settings.Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a medical sales territory within the designated geography
  • Accountable for fiscal growth targets and budgets
  • Maintain and build territory sales, driving growth and developing new business opportunities
  • Position 3M as a solutions provider
  • Educate healthcare staff (in person and virtual) on products, standards, and guidelines
  • Work and collaborate with 3M internal sales and marketing team
  • Educate customers, sell, and promote product portfolio onsite and virtually
  • Manage long selling cycles consisting of multiple touch points
To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications
  • Post-secondary education (Life Sciences, Business, or related discipline preferred)
  • 2 years of CRM experience
  • 2 years of experience that demonstrate comprehension of Healthcare procurement in Alberta
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Bachelor of Science
  • Sales experience in OR and ICU
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Strong self-motivation, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Able to understand changing customer needs with the ability to pivot accordingly
  • Strong selling and concept selling skills
  • Able to draw meaningful insights based on competitive dynamics, customer needs/behaviours, category performance, and characteristics
Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 40% of the time, which may involve overnight stays.
