Job Description

Bookkeeper/Office Manager Are you a motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter Ki International, a privately held piling and shoring company located in Airdrie, Alberta, is looking for an individual who can provide strong bookkeeping skills using Quickbooks. Responsibilities include typical full-cycle bookkeeping duties. The position requires the ability to multitask effectively while working in a team environment.

  • Manage and oversee the financial operations across the organization.
  • Full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes in the company.
  • Reconciles account balances to maintain accurate account balances and comply with related policies, practices, and/or regulations.
  • Maintain the trial balance by a reconciliation of general ledgers
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Prepares various payroll-related documents (e.g., invoices for overpayments, retirement plan transfers, payroll register, stop payments, worker's compensation checks, etc.) to document activities and issues, meet compliance requirements, and provide audit references.
  • Research discrepancies of payroll information and documentation (e.g., timesheets, leave time, etc.) to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures before processing.
  • Compiles data from a wide variety of sources (e.g., timesheets/payroll, salary adjustments, tax deposits, etc.) to analyze issues, ensuring compliance with mandated requirements, and/or monitoring program components.
  • Verifies various payroll-related information (e.g., timesheets, direct deposits, wage attachments, benefits, etc.) to ensure accurate distribution of funds and payroll.
  • Maintains files and records in written and electronic formats for up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
  • A willingness to take on other tasks as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with some post-secondary bookkeeping training.
  • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures involving procurement and budget
  • Minimum of 5 years experience hands-on with Full Cycle Accounting
  • Knowledge of audits, income tax forms, health benefits programs,
  • Experience in managing third-party service providers.
  • Able to maintain filing systems, databases, and basic diary/minutes management.
  • Knowledge of local and federal regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills.
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good financial and business awareness.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
