In RVS, the best interest of students is at the center of every decision.The OpportunityRVS invites applications for a continuing, full-time (40 hrs/wk - weekends/weekdays & day/evenings) Building Operations Assessor position for the North/East/West Areas starting immediately. The successful candidate will require a valid AlbertaClass 5 Motor Vehicle Operators License and own transportation in orderto provide services to all RVS locations.Responsibilities IncludeReports any defects, damages, or vandalism of school property to the "on call" maintenance department representativeIn case of a break-in, notifies the Policing Authority immediately, followed by the applicable Division personnelEngages actively in janitorial duties, including cleaning of the school and the groundsCompletes logbook checklists assignedChecks facility systems for weekend activites taking place in schoolsPerforms water system analysisProvides on the job training in effective custodial practices as requiredPerforms custodial inspection of school assigned as requiredEducation/Experience:Valid Building Operator A/B Ticket or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate is a requirement for the positionExperience with building HVAC/fire alarm/security systems is an assetSeveral years caretaking/custodial experience at a Supervisory levelReliable transportation and must hold a current Alberta Class 5 Drivers LicenseKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulationsThorough knowledge of modern caretaking procedures and the safe use of chemical cleaning agents and materialsRocky View Schools Benefits3 weeks vacationFlex Benefits Plan (Extended health, Dental Benefits, Wellness/Health Care Spending Account(s), Tax Free Savings Account and Registered Retirement Savings Plan)Defined Benefit Pension PlanProfessional development and training opportunitiesFree parkingThe successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of employmentOpen to: Internal and External applicantsSalary: Starting hourly rate $27.76How to ApplyWe request all applications be placed through http://rockyview.simplication.com/.
