Job Description

Prolium Industries Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. Prolium Industries is a fast- emerging Oil & Gas service company that specializes in the repairs of Above Ground Storage Tanks. Our operations team is currently working on projects located across Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland, with Alberta being the core of our operation. We have a reputation for excellence, and we are looking for like-minded individuals who would like to pursue a rewarding career.We are currently seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join our team of professionals based out of Calgary, AB. You will be part of our Airdrie Office, currently working remotely. In this position you will be a key contributor to the overall success of our projects and maintaining our corporate Standard of Excellence.The RoleRepresenting our company with honesty and integrity.Identify ideal customers based on market mapping and other relevant research.Develop and implement a strategic sales strategy.Develop and deliver Presentations to Clients and prospective Clients.Develop marketing materials, updating websites and social media.Primary responsibility is outside sales: strategic and intelligent prospecting, conduct proactive sales calls and face-to-face meetings, closing deals and generating results.Maintain good working relationships, establishing yourself as a professional businessperson and trusted advisor with prospects.Working with our operations team to complete and submit RFI’s and all other bid documents as required.Estimating will be required from time to time.Identify and drive business growth through proactively identifying new opportunities and successfully closing potential opportunities. Those opportunities may include but are not limited to:Adding new customersDeveloping and implementing new products and services.Facilitating geographic expansion.Communicating new product developments to prospective clients.Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.Required Education, Skills and Qualifications5+ years of Sales / Business Development experience OR Technical experience in the Construction/ oil & gas industryConstruction experience or training is preferred.Experience with completing RFI’s and estimates is required.Bachelor’s Degree preferred (specifically in Engineering, Business or Marketing) is an asset.Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas within the Industrial Automation industry, specifically with Oil & Gas (Mid-stream) and General ManufacturingProven experience and established network of business contacts and clients within the Oil & Gas (Mid-stream), General Manufacturing and Tank Maintenance vertical market spaceGreat sales acumen and understanding of common sales processes; formal sales training is a plusStrong leadership skills.Maintains a thorough application and knowledge of relevant industries.Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, ability to create and foster strong relationshipsMotivated and passionate about working with people and overcoming challenges through collaboration and a win-win paradigmStrong business acumen and ability to determine long-term valueAble to work within and achieve business targets and can effectively communicate the company’s strategiesWorks well with a variety of different people from diverse backgroundsGiven the client-focused nature of the work, employees may be required to work over weekends or outside of standard business hours as needed and travel throughout Canada / USAStrong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with all parties of the project teamEffective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and project team in a professional manner to both internal and external clientsHave proven experience prospecting; strategically selecting and engaging accounts that will make you. and the company successfulAble to relate our solutions to business benefits to progress sales cycles toward closureTechnical selling experience and relationships with business owners, managers, and C-level executivesComputer skills including proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office - particularly Word and OutlookCreating marketing material, while maintaining website and customer documentsSelf-starter with an entrepreneurial spiritWe welcome all qualified candidates to submit an application, the diversity of our workforce is a direct reflection of the communities we serve.
