The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating Rocky View Sports Association sactioned middle and high school athletics programs. A Valid Alberta Motor Vehicle License and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position as there will be some travel required to schools and the Education Centre. The position will be located remotely working a flexible schedule.Responsibilities IncludeChairing pre and post season coaches meetingsUpdating Rocky View Sports Association websiteAdvising Rocky View Sports Association executive on new initiativesManaging all aspects of the RVSA programs, as well as RVS special eventsManaging budgetsKeeping sports handbooks currentResolving issuesEnsuring Codes Conducts for Players, Coaches, and Parents are relevantAdvising administrators on policy issuesBuilding and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of stakeholdersEducation/ExperienceBachelor degree in Sports Management or related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applicationsPrevious experience in the organization and operation of athletics programsAbility to provide leadership and direction to teacher and community coachesProven organizational ability in scheduling leagues and tournamentsProven ability in budgeting and financial managementRocky View Schools Benefits6% Vacation PayThis position does not qualify for benefits or sick daysPre-Employment RequirementsThe successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employmentProof of qualifications/education as required by the positionOpen to: Internal and External applicantsHow to Apply:We request all applications be placed through http://rockyview.simplication.com/.
