Learning Potential Foundation is looking for an Education Assistant to join our team for the 2022-23 school year.We are currently hiring for 2 positions:1) MWF 12:30-3:45 & Tues/Thurs 12:00-3:15pm2) Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 12:45-4:15pmEither of these positions may have the possibility of adding morning hours if additional students enroll in the coming weeks.Qualifications include:- Education Assistant certification (or working towards certification)-At least 2 years experience with children with delays and/or special needs-Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector searchAbilities Required include:-Proficiency in English (written and oral)-Ability to work as a team and independently-Good organizational skills, time management skills, and pacing skills-Flexability within a group setting of students with various needs-Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviours of students-Reliable & Dependable (including consistent attendance)-Success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships-Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, desire to make a difference, and commitment-Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent our agency in a professional mannerCompensation/Position includes:-$21/hr-Benefits are available after 3 months & once you are employed for 18+ hrs per week-Contract runs from Sept - June 2022 (with option to renew based on performance and agreement by both parties)Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 10 monthsPart-time hours: 15-20 per weekSalary: $21.00 per hourBenefits:
