Learning Potential Foundation is looking for an Education Assistant to join our team for the 2021-22 school year. This position is from Mon-Fri 12:45-4:15pm (additional hours to be considered as children are assessed for needs).Qualifications include:- Education Assistant certification (or working towards certification)-At least 2 years experience with children with delays and/or special needs-Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector searchAbilities Required include:-Proficiency in English (written and oral)-Ability to work as a team and independently-Good organizational skills, time management skills, and pacing skills-Flexability within a group setting of students with various needs-Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviours of students-Reliable & Dependable-Success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships-Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, desire to make a difference, and commitment-Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent our agency in a professional mannerCompensation/Position includes:-$19-21/hr-Health Benefits-Contract runs from Sept 2021-June 2022Contract length: 10 monthsPart-time hours: 16 per weekExpected start date: 2021-09-02Job Types: Part-time, ContractSalary: $19.00-$21.00 per hourBenefits:
